Other Details to Note
You are likely to see area wildlife including deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits and more! Environment Notice: Our home is nestled in nature, and occasionally, 'nature' finds its way inside. Seasonal insects like stink bugs and ladybugs are common, especially in winter. They’re harmless and very common in mountain areas, we make efforts to control pests with professional services. As we coexist with the environment, we kindly request keeping doors closed to minimize encounters. Please refrain from feeding the animals. There are actively recording security cameras located only on the outside of the property by drive way and backyard which records video and audio. The cameras may be used by the owner to verify guest compliance with the rental policies. Do not try to cover these. Any damage caused to the camera by the guest may result in a partial or complete loss of a security deposit. PET: Please let us know if you are bringing a pet or pets, max 2 pets, please add the pet fee in the traveler option. If you did not pay upon booking, we can send you an invoice or charge you once you check in. Pets MUST be crated if you plan to leave them unattended. You don't need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the cabin, however, 4x4 is always recommended in the mountains. The Smokies don't snow often, but it can happen and, a 4x4 would make getting around much safer and is recommended in case of ice or snow.

WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Find us
The cabin is conveniently located just 1 mile off the Spur, Hwy 321/441, (the five mile stretch between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge). All roads are paved roads and easy to drive. Only about 4.6 miles to Great Smoky Mountains National Park 3.7 miles to Ripley's Aquarium (downtown Gatlinburg) 4.0 miles to the Arts & Crafts area 7.5 miles to Dollywood (Pigeon Forge) We have a local trolley which also goes to Pigeon Forge. You can park at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center for free (on the right side of the Spur as you come into Gatlinburg) and catch the trolley. There are car rentals and jeep rentals in the area. If you need to catch a plane, McGee Tyson Airport is the closest for commercial flights, located in Knoxville. For a private airport, Gatlinburg Airport, located in Sevierville. The road maintenance in our area is fantastic with all paved 2 lane roads. Please be mindful that the roads could be curvy, steep and narrow due to being located in the mountains. We would recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle in the winter months in case it snows. We would also recommend the purchase of travel insurance through the platform or from your credit card, which will protect your investment in the event of weather that would make roads impassable to four-wheel drive/or chains. More information can be obtained from State Highway Department.
